pterion is a directory of UK medical, surgical, radiological and allied workshops and conferences. We aggregate factual event metadata from public sources and link back to the original organiser for registration.

Data we collect (Phase 1)

In Phase 1 of the service, pterion does not require an account, does not set tracking cookies, and does not run third-party analytics. The only personal data we process is email correspondence you initiate (e.g. messages to contact@pterion.uk).

Scraping posture

Our scraper identifies itself as pterion-bot/0.1 (+https://pterion.uk/bot; contact@pterion.uk), honours robots.txt, rate-limits requests, and only stores public factual event metadata. Event descriptions are summarised and link to the source.
